Service interruption via cloneType stack overflow
Published Oct 2, 2025 · Updated Oct 2, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC18 firmware 15.03.05.19 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a crafted cloneType value. The fromAdvSetMacMtuWan function fails to constrain that request parameter to the bounds of its destination stack buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required; published impact is limited to availability loss, while the interruption duration is undisclosed.
