Authenticated service interruption via malformed SDM requests
Published Nov 24, 2025 · Updated Nov 24, 2025
Denial of service in Free5GC 4.0.0 and 4.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to interrupt UDM via Nudm_SubscriberDataManagement requests. Handlers index an empty supported-features array, unmarshal an absent single-nssai value, and mishandle malformed bodies and downstream 404 responses. Low-privilege API access is required; crafted GET or POST requests produce panics or 500 responses and disrupt subscriber-data operations.
