Stored script injection via missing nonce validation
Published Jun 14, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Cross-site request forgery in Bogdan Dinga Zen Sticky Social 0.3 and earlier allows remote attackers to inject stored scripts via forged requests. The plugin settings handler in zen-social-sticky/zen-sticky-social.php accepts state-changing input without validating a WordPress nonce and stores attacker-controlled script content. Exploitation requires a site administrator to submit the forged request, after which the stored script can execute in affected WordPress pages.
