Stored XSS via unsanitized SVG uploads
Published Oct 3, 2025 · Updated Oct 3, 2025
Stored XSS in MetInfo CMS 8.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in other users' browsers through an SVG upload. Image management in app\system\img\admin\img_admin.class.php accepts and stores SVG files without content validation or sanitization, then serves them with an executable MIME type. Administrative access is required to upload the file, and execution occurs when an administrator or front-end user views it.
