Unauthenticated Editor escalation via unrestricted API
Published Oct 15, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025
Privilege escalation in Pebas Lisfinity Core 1.4.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to obtain the Editor role through its API. The plugin assigns Editor by default while capability limits do not restrict API access, exposing privileged functions to unauthenticated actors. Editor privileges are the direct consequence; administrative control requires chaining CVE-2025-6038.
