Browser script execution via unescaped chatbot messages
Published Oct 14, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025
Stored XSS in the Perfex CRM chatbot before 3.3.1 allows remote attackers to execute JavaScript in another user's browser. The chatbot message parameter stores HTML and JavaScript without adequate filtering, and the chat view renders that content without output encoding. Exploitation requires a user to view the affected conversation, exposing that browser session to token theft and unauthorized actions.
