Unauthenticated service interruption via oversized speed_dir concatenation
Published Oct 22, 2025 · Updated Oct 22, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda AC6 V2.0 firmware 15.03.06.50 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via an HTTP request. SetSpeedWan concatenates an oversized speed_dir value while processing /goform/SetSpeedWan without enforcing the destination buffer's capacity. An unauthenticated network request carrying the crafted parameter is sufficient to interrupt router service; the public record establishes denial of service, not code execution.
