Service interruption via missing RadioID NULL dereference

Published Oct 22, 2025 · Updated Oct 22, 2025

NULL pointer dereference in D-Link DIR-823G A1 1.0.2B05 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via a crafted HTTP request. The SetWLanRadioSettings handler passes an absent RadioID element from an HNAP request to strncmp() without a NULL check. No authentication or user interaction is required; published material does not state whether recovery requires a process restart or device reboot.
