Authentication bypass via substring handshake validation

Authentication bypass in Unitree Go2, G1, H1, and B2 devices through 2025-09-20 allows physically proximate attackers to access BLE commands. The BLE receive manager decrypts a handshake packet and sets valid_incoming_user when the plaintext merely contains “unitree,” rather than verifying a device-specific secret. An attacker within BLE range needs no credentials or user interaction and can read the robot serial number and issue Wi-Fi configuration commands; command execution requires chaining the separate injection flaw.
