Stored XSS via unsanitized community content
Published Sep 25, 2025 · Updated Sep 25, 2025
Stored XSS in CIRCL Vulnerability-Lookup 2.16.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through crafted community content. The bundle, comment, and sighting paths store unsanitized model fields, while table rendering inserts dynamic values with innerHTML and unencoded URLs. An account able to add bundles, comments, or sightings is required; the injected script runs in the application origin when affected content is viewed.
