Unauthenticated data disclosure via forgeable HMAC signatures
Published Nov 6, 2025 · Updated Nov 6, 2025
Information disclosure in Atarim 4.2.1 and earlier allows remote attackers to read WordPress user and configuration data. The public /wp-json/atarim/v1/db/vc route exposes wpf_site_id, which the plugin reuses as the HMAC-SHA256 key for signed AJAX requests. No authentication or user interaction is required; a forged Request-Signature unlocks wpf_website_users and wpf_website_details responses containing names, email addresses, roles, settings, and license data.
