Stored XSS via unescaped gallery link metadata
Published Sep 26, 2025 · Updated Sep 26, 2025
Stored XSS in Meow Apps Gallery Custom Links 2.2.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in visitors' browsers. The plugin stores Link URL and related Media Library fields, then rewrites gallery HTML without adequately sanitizing the input or escaping the output. Author-level access is required to plant the payload, and execution requires another user to load the affected gallery page.
