Unauthenticated policy bypass via metadata modification

Missing authorization in Juniper Networks Junos Space Security Director before 24.1R3 Patch V4 allows remote attackers to modify metadata. The web interface fails to enforce authorization when processing metadata read or modification requests for objects used in firewall policy rules. Exposure requires an administrator to have created metadata; successful tampering can make managed SRX Series and vSRX devices permit traffic that policy should block, while cSRX devices are unaffected.
