CVE-2025-5992Network attack vector

Service interruption via unclamped transfer-function values

Published Jul 11, 2025 · Updated Jul 29, 2026

Input validation in Qt Framework 6.6.0 through 6.8.3 and 6.9.0 through 6.9.1 allows attackers to interrupt service via ICC profiles. QColorTransferGenericFunction performs transfer-function math on unclamped float inputs, producing FE_INVALID exceptions and NaN return values. Triggering requires an application to load an attacker-controlled ICC profile through QColorSpace::fromICCProfile, and the reported impact is limited to availability.
