Unquoted search paths in Eaton UPS Companion before 3.0 allow local users with file-system access to execute arbitrary code. The Windows software installer passes a path containing spaces without enclosing quotation marks, allowing path resolution to select an attacker-controlled executable from an earlier path component. Exploitation requires high local privileges and control of a usable file location; successful interception runs the substituted code in the vulnerable process's security context.
