CVE-2025-59866

Local privilege escalation via writable installed executables

Published Jul 17, 2026 · Updated Jul 17, 2026

Incorrect file permissions in HCL DFMPro 4.1, DFXAnalytics 3.1, and DFXServer 3.1 installers allow local users to replace executables. The installers assign executable files permissions that permit a logged-in non-administrative account to overwrite or replace them with attacker-controlled binaries. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access and user interaction; execution of the substituted binary has limited confidentiality and integrity impact.
