CVE-2025-59843Network attack vector

User email disclosure via public profile response

Published Sep 26, 2025 · Updated Sep 26, 2025

Information disclosure in FlagForgeCTF flagForge 2.0.0 through 2.3.1 allows remote attackers to read users' email addresses. The public GET handler in app/api/user/[username]/route.ts selects the email field and copies user.email into the profileData object returned as JSON. No authentication or user interaction is required; knowing or enumerating a username exposes that account's stored email address without changing data.
