Unauthenticated hint disclosure via misspelled property deletion
Published Sep 24, 2025 · Updated Sep 24, 2025
Information disclosure in FlagForgeCTF flagForge 2.1.0 to before 2.3.0 allows remote attackers to read locked hints via the problem API. The GET /api/problems/:id handler deletes the misspelled hinsts property from questionData, leaving the actual hints property in every default response. No authentication or hint-unlock state is required, so direct requests reveal all challenge hints without the intended point deduction.
