Phishing redirects via contributor-created meta refresh

Published Oct 22, 2025 · Updated Oct 22, 2025

Open redirect in Pixelite Meta Tag Manager before 3.3 allows remote authenticated users to redirect post viewers through meta tags. The post editor accepts a contributor-supplied http-equiv refresh tag and emits its unvalidated content URL into the rendered page. Contributor privileges are sufficient to create the tag, but a victim must load the crafted post or its preview for the browser to navigate away.
