Seed-cluster takeover via unvalidated Terraform inputs
Published Sep 25, 2025 · Updated Sep 25, 2025
Code injection in affected Gardener provider extensions allows remote authenticated users to take control of the managing seed cluster. The Terraform infrastructure reconciler renders administrator-controlled Shoot configuration values into Terraform code without restricting them to expected formats. The path requires administrative access to a Gardener project and an installation where Terraformer is used or can be enabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
