Authenticated root command execution via zForm_auto_config
Published Sep 25, 2025 · Updated Sep 25, 2025
Command injection in Zenitel TCIS-3+ before 9.2.3.3 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands via its web portal. The zForm_auto_config handler incorporates attacker-controlled configuration data into a system command without neutralizing command syntax. Administrative credentials and adjacent-network access are required; injected commands run as root and grant full device control.
