CVE-2025-59803Network attack vector

Signature trust bypass via unprompted pre-sign modification

Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025

Signature trust bypass in Foxit PDF Editor and Reader before 2025.2.1 allows attackers to induce signing of manipulated PDFs. The signing workflow executes document triggers that self-modify pages or optional-content layers during pre-signing without explicitly prompting the signer. Exploitation requires a crafted PDF and signer interaction; the resulting signature can cover content that differs from the reviewed document.
