Authenticated privilege escalation via RESET command
Published Nov 28, 2025 · Updated Nov 28, 2025
Privilege escalation in Apache Kvrocks 2.9.0 through 2.13.0 allows remote authenticated users to gain administrator privileges via RESET. The RESET handler converts a namespace-authenticated connection to the administrative role without requiring the administrator token. A valid namespace token and network access are required; the elevated session can invoke administrator-only commands across namespace boundaries.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
