Authenticated memory corruption via unchecked page formatting
Published Jun 10, 2025 · Updated Jun 11, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH1202 1.2.0.14 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via a crafted POST request. The fromVirtualSer function formats the unbounded page parameter into a fixed-size stack array with sprintf. Low-privilege access to the web management interface is required; the published proof of concept demonstrates overflow triggering, not code execution.
