Unauthenticated admin access via forged SAML response
Published Dec 9, 2025 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
Authentication bypass in Fortinet FortiWeb 8.0.0, 7.6.0 through 7.6.4, and 7.4.0 through 7.4.9 allows remote attackers to access its admin interface. The FortiCloud SSO response handler accepts a crafted SAML response after improperly verifying its cryptographic signature; Fortinet has not disclosed the exact validation error. The feature is disabled in factory settings but is enabled during FortiCare GUI registration unless the administrator opts out, and exploitation grants access to protected administrative functions.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
- Affected versionversion=7.4.0 <=7.4.9
