CVE-2025-59702Public exploit

Tamper-log falsification via patchable LCD renderer

Published Dec 2, 2025 · Updated Aug 26, 2026

Access-control flaw in Entrust nShield Connect XC, 5c, and HSMi 13.6.11 and earlier or 13.7 lets physically proximate attackers falsify tamper logs. Root-level or SSD-write access permits patching /opt/nfast/sbin/netui so the LCD shows an empty tamper log regardless of recorded events. Direct physical access and elevated appliance privileges are required; the embedded HSM and cryptographic keys remain unaffected.
