Tamper-log failure in Entrust nShield Connect XC, 5c, and HSMi 13.6.11 and earlier or 13.7 allows physically proximate attackers to alter events. The Chassis management board stores tamper events unencrypted in an I2C EEPROM, allowing board-root or direct hardware access to edit or erase entries. Exploitation requires hands-on appliance access or root access on the board; the embedded HSM and its cryptographic keys remain unaffected.
