CVE-2025-59689Known exploitationNetwork attack vector

Shell command execution via archive sanitization bypass

Published Sep 19, 2025 · Updated Sep 19, 2025

Command injection in Libraesva Email Security Gateway 4.5 and later affected releases allows remote attackers to run shell commands via e-mail. The mail scanner's active-code removal path fails to sanitize attacker-controlled parameters from certain compressed archive formats. A crafted attachment must traverse mail processing; commands run under a non-privileged account, and the published assessment requires unspecified user interaction.
