Administrator code execution via unchecked import filename
Published Jul 3, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in WPvivid Backup & Migration 0.9.116 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to write server files. The wpvivid_upload_import_files action sanitizes the supplied name as text but does not validate its file type before fopen writes it into the ImportandExport directory. Administrator access is required, and direct web-shell execution is exposed on NGINX because Apache blocks the upload directory with .htaccess.
