Account takeover via unsanitized learning-path settings
Published Mar 6, 2026 · Updated Mar 6, 2026
Stored XSS in Chamilo LMS before 1.11.34 allows remote authenticated users to take over privileged accounts through learning-path settings. The course learning path Settings field stores attacker-supplied JavaScript, and the course information page renders it in other users’ browser sessions. A trainer-level account can plant the script, but execution requires another user, including an administrator, to view the affected course information page.
