CVE-2025-59538Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated service crash via empty refUpdates array

Published Oct 1, 2025 · Updated Oct 2, 2025

Denial of service in Argo CD allows remote attackers to crash argocd-server with a crafted Azure DevOps push webhook. The Azure DevOps GitPushEvent branch of affectedRevisionInfo indexes resource.refUpdates[0] without first checking that the JSON array contains an element, causing an uncaught Go panic. When both Azure DevOps webhook credential settings are unset, a single unauthenticated HTTP POST interrupts the entire server process.
