Unauthenticated service crash via nil Gogs repository
Published Oct 1, 2025 · Updated Oct 2, 2025
Improper input validation in affected Argo CD versions allows remote attackers to crash argocd-server through a Gogs webhook. The webhook Handler accepts loosely matched JSON, and affectedRevisionInfo dereferences a nil PushPayload.Repo while processing the attacker-controlled event. The unauthenticated endpoint is exposed when webhook.gogs.secret is unset, and repeated requests can interrupt service for legitimate clients.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
