API server crash via unchecked webhook type assertion
Published Oct 1, 2025 · Updated Oct 2, 2025
Denial of service in affected Argo CD releases allows remote attackers to crash the API server via a malformed Bitbucket Server webhook. affectedRevisionInfo treats repository.links.clone as an array with an unchecked Go type assertion, and the worker has no panic recovery. When the Bitbucket Server webhook secret is unset, one unauthenticated request restarts a replica; requests to every replica interrupt the API.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
