Account takeover via unchecked password-reset target
Published Nov 1, 2025 · Updated Nov 1, 2025
Privilege escalation in Aonetheme Service Finder Bookings 6.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to reset administrator passwords. The change_candidate_password handler accepts a user-controlled account identifier and changes that account's password without verifying that it belongs to the requester. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and a successful request enables takeover of any targeted account, including an administrator account.
