SYSTEM code execution via writable DLL folder
Published Nov 25, 2025 · Updated Nov 25, 2025
Incorrect default permissions in Security Point (Windows) of MaLion before 5.3.4 allow local users to execute code as SYSTEM. The installer grants ordinary users write access to a product folder used for DLL execution, so a crafted library placed there runs with elevated privileges. A user must be able to log in and write to the affected folder; the published advisories do not identify the folder or DLL name.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
