Privilege escalation in F5 BIG-IP allows remote authenticated users with resource administrator access to execute system commands. An undisclosed iControl REST and tmsh command crosses the appliance security boundary and runs arbitrary system commands at higher privilege. At least the resource administrator role and management-plane access are required; F5 has not disclosed the affected command or its input handling.
