CVE-2025-59478Network attack vector

Unauthenticated TMM process termination

Published Oct 15, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025

Denial of service in F5 BIG-IP AFM allows remote attackers to terminate the Traffic Management Microkernel via undisclosed requests. F5 identifies access of an uninitialized pointer in TMM but has not disclosed the request format or specific code locus that reaches the pointer. The issue requires an AFM denial-of-service protection profile on a virtual server, and the resulting process crash interrupts traffic handling.
