Configuration disclosure via unchecked profile menu
Published Sep 17, 2025 · Updated Sep 17, 2025
Missing authorization in Jenkins 2.527 and earlier and LTS 2.516.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to disclose configuration details. The authenticated user profile dropdown builds its option list without enforcing Overall/Read, exposing entries that reveal installed features such as Credentials Plugin. Any authenticated account lacking Overall/Read can enumerate only the limited configuration facts represented by the menu options; no data modification or service interruption is reported.
