CVE-2025-59429Network attack vector

Administrator session hijacking via reflected script injection

Published Oct 14, 2025 · Updated Oct 14, 2025

Reflected XSS in FreePBX core 16 before 16.0.68.39 and core 17 before 17.0.18.38 allows remote attackers to steal admin cookies. The Asterisk HTTP Status page reflects attacker-controlled input into its HTML response without adequate neutralization, but the vendor has not disclosed the parameter or code locus. Exploitation requires an administrator to open a crafted URL while the status service is reachable; version 16 exposes ports 8088 and 8089 beyond localhost by default, while version 17 restricts HTTP but exposes HTTPS similarly.
