Stored XSS via insufficient username validation
Published Sep 18, 2025 · Updated Sep 18, 2025
Stored XSS in Kovah LinkAce before 2.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in audit-log viewers' browsers. UpdateUserProfileInformation accepts username input as a general string, and the audit page renders the stored value without neutralizing script markup. Exploitation requires a standard account to save the payload and create an audit event, followed by a user with audit-log access viewing the page.
