Admin phishing via unsanitized contact enquiry email
Published Sep 22, 2025 · Updated Sep 22, 2025
HTML injection in CubeCart before 6.5.11 allows remote attackers to place attacker-controlled HTML in store-admin email. The _contact() method inserts the Enquiry value into the HTML mail body without neutralization; the patch applies htmlToPlainText() before formatting. Submission requires no account, but a store administrator must view or act on the message; demonstrated effects are rendered content, phishing links, and email-interface confusion.
