Wi-Fi credential disclosure via cleartext firmware storage
Published Oct 2, 2025 · Updated Oct 2, 2025
Cleartext credential storage in Flock Safety Falcon and Sparrow OPM1.171019.026 allows attackers to recover development Wi-Fi credentials. Production firmware retains the test_flck network name and password in a saved Wi-Fi profile without protecting the secret at rest. Firmware access exposes the password, and physically proximate attackers can impersonate the access point to trigger automatic connection when Wi-Fi is enabled.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
