API credential disclosure via embedded DataDog token
Published Oct 2, 2025 · Updated Oct 2, 2025
Information disclosure in Flock Safety Peripheral 7.38.3 allows attackers to recover a DataDog API token from its Android package. The com.flocksafety.android.peripheral binary embeds the token in cleartext, so ordinary APK decompilation or string inspection exposes it. No device privileges are needed to inspect a recovered application package; disclosure is limited to the embedded DataDog credential, with no demonstrated device control.
