Unauthenticated function execution via Samba side effect
Published Nov 25, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Authentication bypass in ASUS Router firmware 3.0.0.4_386, 3.0.0.4_388, and 3.0.0.6_102 allows remote attackers to execute protected functions. An unintended side effect of Samba functionality causes AiCloud to invoke specific functions without proper authorization; ASUS has not disclosed the affected request path or validation error. Network access without credentials or user interaction is sufficient when the prerequisite Samba-related condition is present.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
