Database disclosure and query interruption via SELECT-prefix check

Published Sep 16, 2025 · Updated Sep 16, 2025

Improper access control in ExecuteAutomation MCP Database Server 1.1.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to disclose data or interrupt queries. The read_query handler passes any SQL beginning with SELECT to the database, exposing process data and side-effecting functions such as pg_terminate_backend(). Access to the MCP interface and database credentials authorized to invoke those functions are required; only the npm distribution is affected.
