Cryptocurrency theft via browser API interception
Published Sep 15, 2025 · Updated Sep 15, 2025
Embedded malicious code in is-arrayish 0.3.3 allows remote attackers to redirect cryptocurrency transactions in browser applications. Obfuscated code added to index.js hooks fetch, XMLHttpRequest, and wallet-provider APIs, then replaces payment destinations and approval targets with attacker-controlled addresses. Execution requires the compromised release to be bundled into a browser application; local, server, and command-line use is not affected.
