Heap-based buffer overflow in Internet Explorer on affected Windows releases allows remote attackers to execute code through malicious content. The URL parser writes beyond a heap allocation while processing untrusted URL data; Microsoft has not disclosed the responsible function or size-calculation error. Exploitation requires a user to open attacker-controlled content, after which code runs with that user's privileges.
