Stored XSS via unescaped className attribute
Published Jun 13, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Marc Tönsing Game Review Block 4.8.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via className. The render_game_table function applies strip_tags to className, then places the derived value in a table class attribute without attribute escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient, and injected scripts execute whenever a user visits the affected page.
