Code execution via use-after-free
Published Oct 14, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
Use-after-free in supported Microsoft Office releases allows local users to execute arbitrary code after the required user interaction. Microsoft has not disclosed the affected Office component, the freed object's lifetime error, or the input path that reuses the stale reference. Successful exploitation executes attacker-controlled code in the interacting user's security context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
