CVE-2025-5922

Admin console PIN recovery via unsalted registry hash

Published Jul 29, 2025 · Updated Jul 29, 2025

Credential disclosure in the AdminTool module of TSplus Remote Access before 18.40.6.17 allows local users to retrieve its PIN hash. The module stores the PIN hash without a salt in a Windows system-registry location readable by regular user accounts. A regular Windows account is sufficient to copy the hash and brute-force the PIN offline; administrative access still gates the console unless Disable UAC is enabled.
